For generations, the top leaders of Network Marketing have predominantly been mid to upper-class men. And that’s a fact.

“There is nothing against that identity profile, but the business world has been shaped by corporatized and commercialized linear systems, rigid strategies, and patriarchal blueprints built for extraction, mass production, and control,” says Jilly Torrez.

She isn’t here to be a feminist bashing men, nor is she taking a political stance. She values men and the alliance between masculine and feminine biology. While she respects traditional values for both genders, she also stands for creativity, transparency, and a more feminine approach. This approach highlights collaboration over competition and authentic expression over wearing a professional mask.

“I didn’t become an entrepreneur to perpetuate a dehydrated, corporatized approach to business,” she says. “The typical ‘thirsty’ sales tactics are outdated, and what I call ‘bro talk’ and ‘testosterone-based teachings’ don’t resonate with women like me. Being a mixed woman in business since I was 22, I’ve had to navigate through the fake BS and build in a feminine way, which may trigger some people because they don’t quite understand.”

Where corporate culture rewards overextension and exhaustion as status symbols, Jilly models regeneration and embodiment. While most entrepreneurs chase numbers and results, she teaches transformation and legacy. Where the world teaches people to climb, she reminds them to root.

“The business world has been at war for too long. Business deals are dishonest, and everyone is out to get what they want. It doesn’t make sense to me to work this way; it can be a win-win, which I learned from my ancestral teachings called ‘reciprocity.’”

The Water Lens: A Method for Remembering

At the center of Jilly’s work is the Water Lens™ Method, a poetic and practical approach to hydrating all aspects of life: business, relationships, money, and health through Water.

“Water is life. What better way to learn to live than to ‘Be Like Water,’ as Bruce Lee says?” she adds.

Through the Water Lens™, she guides entrepreneurs into what she calls Hydrated Entrepreneurship™, a personal philosophy that encourages a more sustainable and balanced approach to business, and where businesses are life-giving — what she refers to as “Electron Donating,” rather than depleting like “Electron Stealers” (her Water Codes).

You might wonder, why Water?

“I am 34 years young, grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA, and one thing I’ll say about my beautiful Motherland is that Water is a way of life. From the creeks to the lakes to the oceans, the whole coast is actually the first indigenous certified Marine Sanctuary from Monterey to Santa Barbara (Chumash Marine Sanctuary). When I started studying Water over 10 years ago and building my business selling Medical Water Systems, I already had a deep inherent connection to Water, so I applied what I was learning about Water to EVERYTHING.”

As a Water Researcher, a significant part of her Water Lens™ Method involves integrating Water into every conversation and equation. She prioritizes health, often saying, “Bring your Water Body into everything you do,” and teaches about the Waters in the body, the nervous system, and natural healing and aging.

Village Values in a Digital World

Jilly founded a movement called Wake Movement™, which she prefers to be called the “Inheritor” of as she credits God for being the founder. This movement, now a global revolution, is rooted in something older than marketing trends; it’s built on ancestral values of health, family, community, and reciprocity. She’s clear that she shouldn’t take all the credit…

“I may have started the movement, but my entire community at Wake Water Co™ contributed the most to spreading the word of Water and Hydrated Entrepreneurship™. My community is my training ground. They helped shape me into the leader I am today.”

This is not “success” in the corporate sense; it’s a mission to return to the village, “back to our origins,” as her community describes it.

Launching a Legacy: The Water Lens™

This year, Jilly officially released her book, The Water Lens™, a deep transformation of the teachings that have rippled through her global movement. Pre-launched on World Water Day to honor Water and officially launched on Earth Day to honor Nature, the book isn’t just based on her Water Lens™ Method; it’s a whole new perspective, often described as “Water Consciousness.”

Sovereignty Is the New Success

At the core of Jilly’s work is sovereignty, not as a burden, but as a divine responsibility. She teaches entrepreneurs how to build lives and legacies that don’t require external permission, middlemen, or systems of control. She educates on deep concepts such as God’s Law versus the Commercial System and man-made Law.

From Hustle to Hydration

The shift from masculine to feminine in business isn’t about excluding men; it’s about balancing the masculine with the feminine. Jilly often speaks alongside her masculine business partner, Chris O’Brien, modeling what it means to co-create from love, polarity, and purpose.

The Legacy of the Well

Jilly Torrez isn’t just an author or entrepreneur; she represents a growing wave of entrepreneurs exploring new, value-driven approaches. She invites others to rethink wealth, business, and leadership through a values-based lens.

Focus on building a meaningful business—one that reflects your values and serves your community.

Instead of chasing growth, explore ways to operate with balance and generosity.

Redefine what success means—allow space for flow, creativity, and contribution.

Because when we honor Water, we honor life itself. And through Jilly’s work, many individuals in her community are beginning to explore a new way of thinking.
