Dr. Adebola Ajao is a force of empowerment. As a senior epidemiologist, published author, keynote speaker, and, most importantly, a mother and wife, she has spent over a decade advancing women’s health and guiding professional women toward realizing their full potential. Her life’s trajectory is a potent story of survival, growth, and unwavering commitment to pushing others beyond their limitations toward greatness.

Key milestones of academic and professional achievements have marked Dr. Ajao’s journey. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Epidemiology, a Master’s in Public Health, and a Bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Psychology. These credentials reflect her deep commitment to education and her expertise in the field of epidemiology. However, despite her professional success, Dr. Ajao faced internal struggles in her career, feeling stagnant and unfulfilled. This pivotal moment led her to recognize the importance of personal development and the power of self-discovery. This realization ignited her passion for empowering other women facing similar challenges.

In 2021, Dr. Ajao released her first book, Empowered Woman: Five Principles for Living Your Best Life and Fulfilling Your Potential, which encapsulates her life’s work and offers readers a roadmap to personal and professional fulfillment. The five principles she outlines are foundational steps she suggests every woman must take to unlock her full potential: Thinking Big, Conquering Your Fears, Seeking and Acquiring Knowledge, Finding Mentors, and Taking Action.

Through her organization, Empowering Initiatives LLC, Dr. Ajao provides a platform for professional women to harness their passion, embrace personal development, and serve humanity purposefully. Empowering Initiatives is more than just a business; it is a movement aimed at transforming the lives of women around the world. Dr. Ajao’s empowerment events, speaking engagements, workshops, and coaching programs all center around her five growth principles: offering women the tools to cultivate a growth mindset, embrace their uniqueness and strengths, invest in knowledge and mentorship, and take consistent action towards success.

Mentoring is a major cornerstone in her philosophy. She understands the value of true mentorship and knows that having a good mentor can change everything for a professional woman. That is a key focus of her coaching and public speaking: finding mentors that align with one’s goals and values. Dr. Ajao encourages women to seek mentors and peers who inspire and challenge them and nurture these relationships to foster growth, support, and opportunity.

Dr. Ajao’s advice is rooted in her life experiences as a professional, wife, and mother of three. She knows firsthand what it means to balance career aspirations with family responsibilities. Her guidance is practical and considerate: she calls on women to identify and serve their passion to the world by focusing on their uniqueness, strengths and values, setting big but realistic goals, mastering their mindset, practicing healthy routines, delegating responsibilities, and making self-care a non-negotiable part of their lives. She takes a holistic approach, knowing that only by nurturing all aspects of a woman’s life – personal, professional, and emotional – can true success be achieved.

In addition to her work through Empowering Initiatives LLC, Dr. Ajao is a keynote speaker organizations love to invest in due to her ability to deliver dynamic, engaging, relevant and inspiring conversations. She has spoken on women’s health, personal development, and leadership at various conferences, seminars, and corporate events. Her message resonates with people from all walks of life as she speaks from the heart and draws upon her own journey of personal, professional, and leadership growth and empowerment.
