When questioned further about whether the sentiment resonates with her, she stops, out of breath, and hands the ball to the photographer, Tracy Moore. Half laughing, she describes the act as “nearly ridiculous.”

Catching her breath, Wolves requests water, emphasizing the importance of hydration. She mentions that one must drink at least 64 ounces of water daily, pointing out the added weight and the societal pressures women face regarding their appearance. Despite the physical exertion, her beauty remains untouched, her makeup flawless, her hair perfectly in place.

As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, we find ourselves looking forward to a summer filled with amazing memories and cherished times. Yet, soon enough as Labor Day approaches, many of us find ourselves wondering how the time has flown by so quickly. We reflect on the summer and often wish we could have made it even more special.

But this year, let’s address that feeling head-on. We have the chance now to plan and reverse-engineer our summer, intentionally creating moments that will last forever. While we cannot stop time, we can certainly slow it down by making the most of each day, crafting memories that will endure long beyond Labor Day in the hearts of those we love. 

Summer is the perfect time to slow down, cherish our loved ones, and create lasting memories. The essence of our existence is often preserved in the minds and hearts of those we hold dear, and it is through these cherished memories that time can feel eternal. We do not remember days, but we do remember moments, and now is the time to craft those precious instances with our family and loved ones.

Almost universally, we remember how others made us feel. When it comes to family and our parents, we don’t recall every word they said, but we do remember how they made us feel. Family traditions provide a unique identity that sets each family apart. These customs, passed down through generations, create a sense of continuity that links the past, present, and future. When families gather to celebrate holidays, birthdays, or even simple weekly dinners, they are participating in a shared history that reinforces their collective identity.
