Lena Bjorna, a marketer with experience in internet marketing and recognition in her field, shares her journey to encourage Christian women to explore their purpose. Drawing from her personal experiences of taking risks, navigating challenges, and relying on faith, she provides guidance and inspiration to others on their paths.
Growing up in Norway, Lena’s early life unfolded in a small coastal town above the Arctic Circle, far removed from the opportunities she would later encounter. At just 22, she made a life-altering decision: moving to California with no contacts, no safety net, and a dream of pursuing a creative career. This adventurous leap of faith was the first of many to follow.
Lena loved her new life in Los Angeles. She dabbled in acting and graduated from college with a B.A. in Theater. However, then she made an unexpected shift: She decided she wanted to become an entrepreneur, learn how to market, and build a business online.
Lena found success in internet marketing and gained recognition for her achievements. However, despite these accomplishments, she felt something was missing. Then, unexpectedly, the direct sales company she was working with faced a setback, resulting in the loss of many of her clients and customers. “It was a challenging experience,” she reflects. “It felt like everything changed in an instant.”
But Lena picked herself back up and bravely moved on. After losing her business, she felt God was calling her to take a new path to embrace a life of service, teaching, and ministry. This transition marked the beginning of her work as a Christian speaker and writer dedicated to helping women break free from self-imposed limitations, find clarity in their purpose, and live a spiritually abundant life.
“It’s funny how God works,” Lena continues. “You’re headed in a particular direction with your life. Then, all of a sudden, He takes you on a detour. It messes with all your carefully orchestrated plans. But looking back, you realize it wasn’t a detour at all. It led you to where God always meant for you to be.”

Lena’s life has, in many different ways, been a testament to resilience and the power of faith. During the COVID-19 lockdown in the spring of 2020, she navigated the enormous challenges of a pandemic wedding and began a new chapter as a wife and stepmother.
Her resolve was put to the test once again when one of her three stepsons, who has severe autism, developed a debilitating swallowing disorder. After the boy’s life was narrowly saved by doctors, Lena and her husband quit their jobs to work around the clock to rehabilitate him at home — a courageous effort that more than a year later ended in the full recovery of Lena’s stepson.
Today, Lena will tell you that her personal challenges have only strengthened her commitment to helping others persevere through adversity. As the creator of a popular inspirational blog, she shares spiritual insights that encourage women to see problems as stepping stones. Her upcoming book will delve even deeper into her personal story and the lessons she has learned.
Lena’s experiences resonate deeply with those she serves. While much of her work focuses on empowering women, her message transcends gender. Lena believes anyone can find hope and purpose in the face of life’s uncertainties. She equips her audience with tools to overcome fear, embrace their callings, and fully trust God’s plan through her writing, speaking engagements, and online platforms.
Another passion of Lena’s is local ministry. As the director of outreach at her church in the Los Angeles area, she leads a tremendously successful local outreach program that she helped create and launch. She is also part of a prison ministry that regularly travels to maximum-security prisons in Mexico to share God’s transforming love with the inmates and guards.

The many shifts and twists Lena has experienced give her a unique perspective. Her story inspires others by showing that educated risks, strong faith, and persistence will get you places.
As Lena continues to grow her impact, she remains committed to the core principles that have defined her journey: conviction, diligence, and flexibility. She emphasizes the importance of surrendering to life’s unexpected turns, trusting that even the most challenging detours have a purpose.
“Life’s difficulties are often disguised opportunities,” Lena concludes. “The things that seem to derail us can actually lead us to our greatest breakthroughs. When we trust God, we’ll discover He knows what He’s doing. His plans for us are always better than our own.”
